ART STRUCTURE - Fall 2008 / Spring 2009

Welcome to Art Structure!

Art Structure is a two semester course that introduces and teaches students the fundamentals of Art and Design.  Throughout the school year, students will be taught various lessons, skills, and techniques that will allow and encourage them to build a solid foundation and appreciation of the visual arts.

About Ms. Morrison -

I love Art and I love teaching!

I hold a BA in Art from CSU, Long Beach; and recently completed a graduate program at CSU, Northridge to obtain a teaching credential.

Prior to teaching at Burroughs, I worked as a Sr. Project Manager in large scale internet development. However, after more than 10 years I decided that I needed to rediscover my true passions and goals in life. I couldn’t be happier with my decision to make the major shift from hi-tech to education.
Currently, as a working artist, I love to design and make jewelry. Occasionally I have the opportunity to sell my work in small boutiques as well as Arts & Crafts Fairs.

Through teaching I have discovered that I get just as much pleasure and satisfaction from watching my students learn about art, as well as creating their own works, as I do when producing work of my own.

Here's to a great year!!
